Student Services Advisor

Student Services Advisor (VC6319) Scarborough, England

Salary: GBP16733 - GBP16733 per annum

Castle Business Support are looking for a Student Services Advisor for a company based in Scarborough within the Education sector. This is a full-time, permanent position.

You will work within a team of advisors providing a high level range of support services for students and staff. Each Advisor will be required to provide support in the following areas:
· Student enquiries
· Admissions
· Financial support
· Travel
· Reception

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To provide an excellent responsive customer service to students, staff and visitors.
  • To maintain excellent communicative links with college staff, students and external clients.
  • To provide support and advice to potential and existing students, academic staff and external customers, dealing with a wide range of enquiries relating to the support services provided and acting as the first point of contact.
  • To lead in the processing, tracking and administration of enquiries, ensuring they are entered accurately onto the college’s student records system.
  • To lead and administrate the student applications process
  • To process all types of welfare support funds and their allocations to students, including
    submissions to external and internal payment agencies.
  • To respond efficiently to enquiries from parents/students/tutors/external agencies.
  • Provide clerical support relating to all correspondence with recipients/applicants.
  • Coordinate and arrange student transport as appropriate.
  • To meet and greet Students, members of the public and visitors in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • To direct Students and visitors to the appropriate department
  • To operate the switchboard, answer phones and transfer calls to the appropriate department
  • Operate an effective and compliant ‘signing in’ system for all visitors to the college.
  • Contribute towards ensuring the high-quality maintenance of student services environments
  • Provide administration support.

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of working within an administrative environment
  • IT literate
  • Experience of working within a team
  • Possess excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
