HR Officer

HR Officer (VC8786) Malton, England

Salary: GBP24000 - GBP28000 per annum

The Position:

An exciting opportunity for an HR Officer has arisen to join a business based in East Gilling, North of York / West of Malton. 

This is a wonderful opportunity to join the HR team, as the HR Officer for an agricultural business with great exposure to HR, fantastic experience and progression as well as continued learning and development with a real opportunity to help shape the HR function alongside the HR Manager(s).

Duties:

Provide professional HR advice and support throughout the organisation on a broad range of employee relation matters. You will engage and group with managers to find HR solutions to organisational issues.

  • Act as deputy to the HR Manager as and when required
  • HR Administration – Produce all starter packs inclusive of offer letters, contracts, benefit information, produce exit data for leavers and process leavers correctly and general administration duties
  • Being responsible for standards maintained in and the running of the HR department
  • Employee Relations support inclusive of administration
  • Absence Management – input correct information on the HR system and support the HR Manager in the long-term sickness process
  • Attend meetings as and when required to advise and inform on personal matters
  • Payroll – accurately and timely input all employee data on to the payroll system inclusive on starters and leavers and absences and provide support to the annual pay review process
  • Write confirmation letters on all job and pay changes
  • Coordinate all appraisals, pay reviews, NMW wage increases and communicate accordingly with all managers
  • Update and review the HR policy as well as contracts to make sure all are up to date and compliant
  • Set up, maintain and review databases
  • Being responsible for managing all types of retention processes inclusive of performance management, resignations and exit interviews
  • Being responsible for the management and coordination of recruitment and selection
  • Advise and support managers on all employee-related matters such as disciplinary and grievances, absence management, performance appraisal, and performance management
  • Support and coordinate training processes such as inductions and health and safety training and all administration for the training
  • Project work as and when required

 

Requirements:

I am keen to speak with anyone who has recently worked as an HR Officer/HR Coordinator with some operational HR experience who is ready to start a new challenge and make an impact on the HR Function. I am also keen to speak with experienced HR Administrators who have dabbled in the operational side with regards to Employee Related issues and feel they are ready to make that next professional step.
