Salary: GBP28000 - GBP33000 per annum

Position:

An experienced Assistant HR Business Partner is required on a part-time basis for a 6-month fixed term contract to work with a reputable education establishment in York, North Yorkshire.

An exciting opportunity to join the HR team, as a part-time Assistant HR BP for a great education establishment, supporting the HR team to ensure the professional provision of HR advice to the business. Duties:

Provide professional HR advice and support throughout the organisation to managers and staff on a broad range of Human Resources matters, giving them the tools to manage effectively and proactively. You will engage and group with managers to find HR solutions to organisational issues inclusive of recruitment, absence management, performance management and cultural development.

  • Work closely with the HR Business Partner and other HR colleagues
  • Support and advise managers in delivering change programmes
  • Provide guidance and advice throughout the whole cycle of organisational change
  • Work collaboratively with managers to ensure compliance and employment legislation
  • Drive the business forward in line with the strategy and objectives whilst implementing HR initiatives and being an influencer at director and board level with this
  • Actively support and guide managers in terms of their people management skills and effectively being able to lead their team through legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Advise, challenge and influence managers with regards to poor practice, whenever necessary and making sure you are an advocate of best practice
  • Support and guide the HR Casework and Policy Officers in line with the HR strategy when it comes to legislation, systems practice and PD ideas
  • Manage and lead on HR project work as and when required
  • Build positive and strong relationships with local trade unions and work collaboratively with them to resolve conflict and any concerns

Requirements:

I am keen to speak with anyone who is an experienced HR professional with proven experience at HR BP level, with the knowledge, understanding and experience of case management on a day to day basis. You will need to be CIPD Level 7 qualified, a strong communicator with good influencing skills at director level as well as having experience of working with trade unions.
