We are looking for an Engineer with polymeric bioabsorbable stents and research background for our client in the bay area. Hands on experience with ABAQUS or ANSYS is a big plus.
Duty and responsibility:
- Conduct Fatigue studies on the next generation of polymeric bioabsorbable stents Write test protocols and reports in support of project goals and regulatory filings.
- Develop test methods including experimental design, fixturing, feasibility, validation and equipment qualification.
- Develop test methods including experimental design, fixturing, feasibility, validation and equipment qualification. Evaluate cardiovascular implant materials, components, assemblies, processes and/or equipment.
- Maintain detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development.
- Coordinate vendor activities to support development.
- Optimal candidate will have a strong desire to improve R&D test methods and persevere undeterred towards stretch goals.
- Strong emphasis on adaptability and hands-on problem solving in a laboratory setting.
- Understanding of cardiovascular physiology and the ability to create engineering solutions that relate directly to BIOMEDICAL problems and applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team. Strong communications skills (both oral and written). Ability to work in a quality system environment.
Preferred: Experience with a commercial FEA code such as ABAQUS or ANSYS. Preferred: Advanced degree in mechanical engineering or relevant medical device experience.
