Application Support Analyst Summary:

Signature Consultants has an opportunity for an Application Support Analyst for one of our top financial clients.   Our client’s Help IS Services Team maintain its key role of being a valued and trusted technology partner to the business through customer-focused support of key applications, maintaining good relationships with customers and identifying opportunities to leverage technology for the good of the business. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Responsibilities:

• Primary technical lead and technical escalation point for the Application Support Analysts.
• Responsible for creating and maintaining Root Cause Analysis (RCA) capture and reporting according to specification.
• Collaborates with IS Infrastructure & Security Services in creating technical requirements and specifications for PMO managed projects, HA configurations, ERM/BCP, security, enterprise wide monitoring of all systems, and applications in support of a strong business processing environment.
• Provide leadership and serve as a technical resource to the Application Support Analysts on projects that requires IS involvement.
• Serves as the lead technical resource between the business units, IS, IS Development, and key vendors.
• Supervise and enforce consistency on diagrams, processes, and procedures created by the Application Support Analysts in collaboration with IS Infrastructure and Security Services
• Responsible for consistency in application of the proper policies and procedures
• Provides Tier 2 support for real time interfaces
• Responsible for training new Application Support Analyst
• Build quality relationships with key members of the various business units
• Develop understanding of both long and short term objectives of the business units
• Works closely with the Application Support Analysts, System Techs, and Helpdesk Specialists in the development of standards for application integration and application support
• Assists with managing and supporting various technologies to include implementation, interfaces, upgrades, break/fix, and capacity planning with a focus on member experience
• Suggest changes to internal procedures that will enhance the use of new or existing software
• Works with IS management to be sure that all application integration initiatives stay within scope
• Assists with all enhancement requests made with the key vendors
• Serves as escalation point for critical application issues.
• Makes suggestions on ways to use technology to improve and or automate existing business processes used by the business unit.

• Responsible for managing and directing cross functional testing initiatives comprised of key people from the various business units

Qualifications: 

• 4 year college degree or other specialized information system training preferred.  
• 7 -10 years of enterprise level application support preferred
• Very strong customer focus and relationship skills
• Ability to work flexible schedule
• Knowledge of financial services
• Ability to work with all levels of employees
• Organization and prioritization skills
• Ability to work alone or with little supervision
• Willingness to pursue further education in meeting business needs with IS
