Our client a global manufacturer in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs currently has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Maintenance Fitter. Initially the position will commence on day shift, however due to growth this position will be moving to a Full Time Afternoon Shift Role.
You will join a highly motivated team who provide excellent, time critical service to ensure the reliability of the production facility. This is a role that offers the chance to develop your fault finding and trouble shooting skills, on a range of state of the art automated production machinery.
The ideal applicant will be resourceful and self- motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision as well as part of the team. You will have a strong commitment to OH&S and an emphasis on continuous improvement and reliability by performing planned and preventative maintenance tasks.
The successful applicant will ideally possess the following:
- Australian recognised trade qualification as a Fitter and Turner, with a minimum of 2-years trade experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Post trade qualification in Fluid Power.
- Understanding of Preventative Maintenance systems.
- Sound analytical and problem solving skills.
- Customer focused and an ability to prioritise tasks.
