Mid-sized Technology and Aerospace Company is looking to add to their Engineering team and is looking for a strong Sr. Software Engineer. The incumbent is a member of Electromechanical Technology organization and reports to the Manager of Electronic & Software in the Electromechanical Systems group. The primary objective of EM Technology is to develop dynamic electromechanical products for the Corporation. The group proves the feasibility of the technology through laboratory and customer-related demonstrations, and leads the product development efforts.
This position is responsible for developing embedded software for company products under a disciplined product development process for our next generation products. The incumbent will work closely with the hardware engineering team during the development of the hardware. Additional responsibilities will include assisting with proposals, manufacturing support and sustaining engineering activities; these include, sizing work effort and leading innovation. Mandatory Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 5-8 years experience or Masters in the same with 3-5 years experience. Significant Model Based Software development and autocode generation experience for embedded applications is required. Familiar with DO-178 software development guideline. Experience using SW development tools like code Composer, MatLab/Simulink and Redmine/Subversion. Direct experience in software requirements definition, embedded software design and coding is required. A background in C programming language and some experience in software test and integration. The applicant must be accustomed to working in a team environment with challenging requirements and demanding schedules.

Non-Mandatory Qualifications

Experience with software certification to DO-178B Level A.
Control Systems experience with familiarity in Motor Control methodologies.
Technical and or project leadership experience.
Knowledge of Active Vibration and Noise Control technology
