Applications Analyst required to join whg’s IT Applications Management Team. You will be the first point of contact responsible for managing and resolving IT tickets within agreed SLA’s. You will deliver exceptional service to colleagues and third parties and provide application support for all core and non‐core applications.

Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for incident and problem management, including daily checks, interface monitoring and responding to system alerts
- Providing and end to end support function for business critical Applications. Identify defects and work with Third Parties, Senior Analysts and DBA from defect identification through to defect resolution.
- Work with project teams on application development, providing support with technical design, writing functional specs, testing and defect resolution, ensuring it is completed in line with technical specifications
- Provide application support; assisting with upgrades, patching, releases and the ownership, management and resolution of incidents
- Identify and highlight trends in support enquires, and recommend solutions
Key Skills
- You will be a keen problem solver with experience supporting COTS and In‐House Applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot and get to the bottom of Application issues quickly.
- Supporting .net Applications with MS SQL Databases.
- Good experience of IT applications support within an ITIL environment
- Proven use of SQL, XML, Microsoft IIS, Java, Tomcat and third party Workflow tools.
- Understanding of SQL Server DB with knowledge of SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI advantageous.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
