Automation Engineer Summary:

Signature Consultants has an opportunity for a Senior Automation QA Tester.  In this role the candidate will provide software testing management services to one of our client’s major systems. The Automation Engineer provides support by creating automated tests utilizing JAVA/Selenium and aiding in the resolution of issues related to test automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts for requirement validation, integration, regression, and usability testing
• Develop quality assurance standards and track quality assurance activities
• Participate in test strategy, test estimation and planning discussions
• Create and maintain reusable test data for automation scripts
• Create, execute and debug SQL scripts to be used for test validation
• Document test results and assist with defect management
• Produce status reports related to the testing process
• Review and maintain all project documentation in accordance with department procedures
• Assist with technical artifacts (such as Use Cases and User Interface Specifications) and engage in technical discussions
• Maintain understanding of current and new testing technologies
• Prepare databases and environments for testing
• Assists with team training needs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
• 3-5 years of experience as an Automation QA Tester
• 2+ years of experience creating, maintaining, and executing automation tests utilizing Java/Selenium
• 2+ years of Java experience
• Experience creating Behavior Driven tests using Cucumber or JBehave
• Familiarity with Eclipse, Junit/TestNG, Maven, and Bamboo
• Experience automating tests in an agile environment
• Experience creating and maintaining automation frameworks such as Page Object Model
• Experience creating SQL scripts
• Familiarity with databases
• Experience with change management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and written communications
• High standards of confidentiality; ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and trust
• Candidates with less education or experience may be considered at a lower job grade and/or salary.
• Travel (10%)
