Castle Engineering are currently seeking a Manufacturing and Production Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Hull.
This role is a great opportunity for someone with extensive manufacturing and production experience who has the ability to lead and implement continuous improvement projects and guide a workforce from strength to strength.
Key responsibilities:
- Planning, organising, directing and guiding performance of all production
- Effectively communicate and ensure that established policies and procedures are adhered to
- Initiate and recommend the modification of established policies, procedures and objectives within the production team
- Review and action key performance indicators for Health & Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost teams
- Identify, lead and implement continuous improvement projects
- Oversee all major manufacturing and engineering projects, including planning and coordination
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrable experience in management of manufacturing operations
- Understanding of continuous process improvement in a manufacturing environment
- Experience of operating health and safety and quality management systems
- Understanding of MRP systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, primarily PowerPoint Presentation
- Excellent communication and relationship skills
- The ability to lead, train and mentor a shop-floor workforce
