Castle Engineering are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to work in a highly regarded and respected business, supplying into a variety of household names and brands.  The business is looking to expand their engineering team and this is great opportunity to join a business that can offer you a diverse environment, the support to enable you to progress and develop, with exposure to a variety of engineering skills and technical challenges.

 

As a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer you will be working on their 18 acre site working on various machines.  Working as part of a team you will carry out planned maintenance tasks and deal with breakdowns as required. You will be required to work on conveyors, control panels, hydraulics, pneumatics, various purpose built machinery and will deal with the overall maintenance of the site.  You will need to be able to fault find, diagnose and rectify faults and problems where necessary.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining production machinery, such as conveyors, extruders, and fault finding on associated PLC systems
  • Working as part of an engineering team
  • The maintenance and repair of all plant equipment on site
  • Fault finding and diagnosis of problems relating to breakdowns and repairs
  • Working in line with all H&S processes and procedures
  • Installation of new machinery
  • Ensuring that all maintenance and work carried out is done so in the safest, efficient and cost effective manner
  • Being part of a Call Out Rota

 

To be successful in this role you will need to display:

  • NVQ Level 3 or similar level of qualification in an engineering discipline
  • Have an electrical qualification
  • A working knowledge of SACDA and fault finding on Plc’s is a distinct advantage
  • Good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Experience of working in own initiative as well as in a team

Location:             East Yorkshire

Salary:                  £28,000 - £30,000 pa + O/T (Charge Out rate)

Benefits:              Up to 5% Pension Contribution, 4 x Life Assurance, Dental/Optical Health Plans

Hours:                  2 Shift/5 Day Rotating Shift Pattern (6am – 2pm/2pm – 10pm)

Holidays:             25 Days Holiday + Bank Hols
