Salary: GBP35000 - GBP40000 per annum + pension etc.

Mechanical Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer required to work within an established and expanding global business who are market leaders in their field. Working shifts salary is £38k pa + benefits with on-site parking. It is based on the outskirts of Malton commutable from Scarborough, Whitby, York, Pickering, Driffield. In the role of Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will display good mechanical maintenance skills and will be working as part of a strong engineering team dealing with routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of heavy and light industrial machinery. 

This is a varied role and as such your tasks will consist of:

  • Dealing with breakdowns and in a timely and efficient manner
  • Working in line with all relevant standards, processes and site quality systems as required
  • Carrying out mechanical and electrical servicing and daily checks on a range of equipment
  • Working in line with PPM and deal with reactive faults
  • Providing guidance and training to fellow technicians, and offering input on improvements
  • Carrying out installation work, to include modifying existing equipment and installing new equipment

The role of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will require you to liaise across a number of functions and deal with internal and external customers.  To be successful in this position you will need the following:

  • Relevant Engineering qualification, HNC, NVQ, Apprenticeship
  • Good Mechanical skills with ability to deal with basic electrics
  • An ability to read and work from technical drawings
  • Good fault finding and core engineering skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
