In the role of Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for dealing with designs and uploading of products onto various systems for a number of different projects.

Due to the nature of the position exposure to sheet metal, fabrication and design will be highly beneficial.  As Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Production of innovative drawings in line with customer requirements ensuring they are cost effective and fit for manufacture

• Making drawings using design software such as Auto CAD, Solidworks and Inventor
• Completing all necessary paperwork and documentation as needed, generating BOM’s, and test products to ensure compliance
• Regularly communicate any product updates and performance issues across the team and business
• Planning own workload to ensure that scheduled deadlines, targets and established budgets are met.

• Degree qualification in a STEM or Engineering discipline
• 5+ years’ experience of working in a design led role
• Previous experience in schematics of infrastructure products, sheet metal, enclosures/structures and electrical expertise would be advantageous.
• Strong written and oral communications skills.
• Excellent PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products along with knowledge and proficiency using SAP would be a plus
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Proficient user of Autodesk Inventor CAD software.
