Castle Engineering and Manufacturing are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join a manufacturing business based near Filey, North Yorkshire.
The main purpose of this role is to assist in the delivery of products by developing embedded system code and providing reliable, low power solutions.
The key points of the role are as follows…
- Develop embedded system code interfacing with a range of peripherals
- Help to identify suitable microcontrollers and RTOS to provide reliable, low power solutions
- Work closely with hardware and software engineers to identify code requirements
- DSP design of audio filters
- Developing code to comply with the complex acoustic requirements for noise monitoring
- Planning and verification testing of new products
To be successful in the role, you will have…
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electronic Engineering
- Proven previous experience with C and C++
- Experience with embedded microcontroller software design
- Previous experience capturing requirements and demonstrating requirement protocols including Ethernet, USB, SPI
- DSP filter design
