Castle Engineering and Manufacturing are seeking a Production Manager to join a successful manufacturing company based in Malton, North Yorkshire.

As Production Manager you will be tasked with managing the assembly and test of several high reliability electro-mechanical products with down-hole oilfield applications. This is reflected in the stringent manufacturing and testing regimes applied to the products.

You will have a small dedicated team of technicians as well as broader support from the company engineering, purchasing and quality control departments.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include…

• Co-ordinating and assist in the build and test of electro-mechanical assemblies with overall responsibility for assembly and test technicians
• Ensuring all procedures are followed, test results are recorded and are within test specifications with overall responsibility for ensuring that finished good are compliant
• Maintaining, recording and actioning non-conformance arising during testing
• Maintaining and developing QA, test procedures and assembly instructions to meet ISO9000 requirements
• Ensuring that there is a safe working environment
• Work within sales and operations to manage production schedules and ensure on-time delivery
• Introduce new products into manufacturing including development of test procedures and assembly instructions

The ideal candidate for the Production Manager will…

• HND or equivalent in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Have 3 years or more experience of an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
• Have fault finding experience of electronic assemblies to component level
• Be able to lead free soldering
• Be familiar with ISO9000 requirements
• Will have experience and exposure to Microsoft Office packages
