Castle Engineering and Manufacturing are working for a well-established business who are seeking an Electronic Design Engineer to work within their design team overseeing and dealing with investigative, research and implementation of new designs.  You will be required to deal with the design of various automotive parts, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met offering support other departments as required.

 

You will be working as part of a strong design team and as an Electronic Design Engineer you will be integral to driving their product advancement and will need to offer inventive design solutions, working to customer briefs and creating designs for manufacture.

 

To be successful in the role of Electronic Design Engineer you will need to display the following key skills and attributes:

 

  • A relevant Electrical Engineering qualification (HND or Higher)
  • Have a working knowledge of electronic design and schematics (5 yrs +)
  • Knowledge of Analogue and digital circuit design in relation to LED lighting technology and SMPS circuit design
  • Have used Solidworks
  • Have dealt with BOM’s and used to writing technical documentation
  • Be adept at problem solving and analysis
  • Be experienced in taking a product from development through to final manufacture.

Although this role is design focused it does offer a real opportunity to be involved in a full life cycle of a project and work with some recognised brand names.  As well as design you will need to coordinate with purchasing, and production creating BOM’s and providing relevant product documentation.

  • Be dynamic and adaptable in your approach to work
  • Be motivated by engineering challenges
  • Communicate well at all levels within a business with a clear ability to liaise with internal and external customers at all stages of the process
