Castle Engineering and Manufacturing are recruiting an experienced and time served mechanically biased maintenance engineer to join a fast paced manufacturer in the Whitby area. As the Maintenance Engineer you will primarily be responsible for attending machinery breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance across the factory.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
- Reacting to machinery breakdowns, diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out any repairs
- Carrying out works according to the PPM schedule
- Ensuring there are enough mechanical spares available in the factory at all times
- Carry out calibration and maintenance records for all mechanical measuring equipment
- Mechanically maintaining and repairing all site support and ancillary equipment including chillers, sprinklers and compressors etc
To be successfully selected you will be a time served mechanically biased engineer who ideally has some basic electrical competency and exposure. You will be able to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment and have a proactive nature.
The shifts are currently Monday to Friday but there is a possibility that this could change to incorporate weekends on an on-call basis.
Salary- £32,000 to £35,000
