Structural Steel Draughtsperson (Tekla) (VC1452) North Yorkshire, England
Castle Engineering Division are seeking a Draughtsperson to work with a highly successful Structural Steel business, who are renowned for working on large construction projects throughout the UK, Europe and Internationally.
Working as part of a design team you will be required to take a brief and manage a number of projects at any one time. In the role of Draughtsperson you will be responsible for:
- Issuing progress reports on projects
- Producing and issuing drawings to both internal and external customers
- Dealing with BOMs and keep a record of costs throughout process
- Achieving set time lines and issuing drawings to production
- Oversee the team and ensure all works are carried out to set parameters and in budget
This is a challenging and rewarding role, to be successful in the role you will need:
- Experience of working in steel and steel detailing
- Good IT skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to use Tekla (X Steel) design packages
- Ability to communicate both internally and externally
- Good awareness of current design techniques and legislation
This is an excellent opportunity for you to move into a large business working across various projects and taking on additional responsibilities as and when necessary.
It will offer some real insight into how large structural projects are undertaken and you will be an integral part of these projects.
