Castle Engineering & Manufacturing are seeking a Quality Engineer to work in a growing manufacturing business.  In the role of Quality Engineer, you will be required to ensure compliance with the written ISO 9001 Quality Procedures that are in place for the business.

You will be working across multiple functions but will be responsible to the Manufacturing Manager and will work in line with projected outputs and stringent quality standards.

As Quality Engineer you will be required to:

• Control and manage all aspects of product quality to ensure the highest standards are maintained for our customers
• Maintain and update the company’s quality procedures and systems
• Develop new procedures, or improvements to procedures, as and when identified.
• Ensure all products meets our minimum quality levels, through quality control and quality inspection, through facts, KPI and reporting.
• Investigate any perceived or reported quality issue both internally and with customers and suppliers
• Manage team members in the Quality Inspection areas.
• Enhance systems already in place to enable real time performance monitoring.
• Identify and introduce processes to enhance our skills and improve the quality of services offered to our customers.
• Working with the Manufacturing Manager to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Support the Production Manager when and where appropriate and required.

To be successful in the role of Quality Manager you will ideally have:

• A calm and pleasant manner, even under pressure
• A Methodical approach to work
• Excellent communication skills & telephone manner
• 3 Years electronics manufacturing experience
• 2 Years Quality Management experience
• Working experience of Microsoft Office packages – Word, Excel, Outlook
