Castle Engineering are recruiting for an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to work with one of Europe's leading manufacturers of engineered plastic assemblies.
You will be working with a business that work across a vast array of sectors and supply business partners worldwide in markets such as automotive, IT, telecommunications, consumer durables, specialist packaging, building products and health care.

This is a challenging but rewarding role where the successful candidate will gain exposure to a variety of equipment and different manufacturing methods.  You will be working with various teams internally, and will have an input on improvements across the site. 

Our Client is looking for an engineer who is adaptable self-motivated, can demonstrate excellent communication skills. You will need a proactive and investigative approach to tasks; through high levels of analytic capability.

You will be in a technical production environment developing wiring systems to meet customer demands.  As well as being hands on you will also assist with the development team and will be required to carry out site installations, fault finding and repair.  

 

As a Maintenance Engineer your duties will include:

 

  • Routine machine and site maintenance
  • Machine safety checks
  • Undertaking planned and reactive maintenance
  • Liaising with contractors
  • Record keeping
  • Ensuring that work is conducted in line with the process and procedures and the H&S policy, completing all necessary risk assessments and paperwork as required
  • The repair and maintenance of all production equipment on site.
  • Accountability for ensuring maintenance procedures are adhered to
  • Ensure all production breakdowns and changes of ancillary equipment are dealt with in a timely manor
  • Uphold exceptional standards of Health and Safety

 

To be successful in this challenging but rewarding role you will need to have the following:

 

  • Apprentice trained engineer or equivalent in a mechanical/ electrical discipline – knowledge in both is preferable
  • Good understanding of health and safety
  • Ability to work individually or within the team as required by the business
  • Proven track record of being able to prioritise a busy workload
  • A can do, self-motivated attitude
