Salary: GBP38000 - GBP43000 per annum + benefits

As a Service Engineer you will be working within a cutting-edge innovative environment based in North Yorkshire, commutable from York, Malton, Pickering, Leeds, Scarborough, with on-site parking available.  Although the head office is based in North Yorkshire this role is predominately site based offering travel both nationally and internationally.

Our Business Partner is a leading global provider of bespoke flow metering control systems within the Oil and Gas industry working with and supplying to major well-known companies  in the sector. Run as an independent, ‘family’, business, established for over 18 years it has enviable reputation in the industry with great staff retention and repeat business.

The role of Service Engineer will include:

  • Onshore and offshore site visits dealing with installation, commissioning, site surveys and service work
  • The provision of technical support (sometimes out of normal office hours)
  • The modification, configuration  and implementation of PLC’s, Flow Computers, supervisory control systems
  • Accurate fulfilment and recording of all technical documentation
  • The delivery of product specific training to internal and external customers
  • A high level of travel, national and international, on average 4 months of the year, split between  Offshore and Onshore

 

Working in a service led role in the Oil & Gas industry you will be responsible for working closely with demanding Clients ensuring a high level of product knowledge transfer, excellent response times and require a high level of professionalism at all times.

We want to speak to people who display the following:

 

  • A good understanding of software configuration and experience of PLC, HMI or DCS based control systems.
  • Experience of working in a demanding technical environment with a good knowledge of instrumentation
  • Some experience of software programming with exposure to C++, SQL, Java will be beneficial
  • An ability to work reactively to strict time constraints
