Engineering Coordinator (RL6455) Pickering, England
Castle Engineering and Manufacturing are seeking an Engineering Coordinator to join a successful manufacturing business based near Pickering, North Yorkshire.
The purpose of this role is to transfer engineering information to the production control system and initiate the make of buy decision based on house technical capability. You will also be responsible for monitoring the engineering schedule and controlling the flow of information to planning and production.
The key responsibilities of this role are…
- Data input to the production control system from engineering BOMs
- Initiate the make or buy decision based on in house technical capability
- Produce routes for in house manufactured items
- Liaise with Project Engineers and Production Planners to ensure that planning receive engineering information at the correct time
- Generate part number for new proprietary stock
- Act as fourth line check on BOM and drawing release
To be successful in this role, you will have…
- A Levels or equivalent in Maths/Science subjects
- HND/HNC in Design, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering is desirable
- Proficient in working with PC’s using Windows
- Experience in the use of AutoCAD and SolidWorks design systems
- Speed and accuracy of data input
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
