Castle Engineering and Manufacturing are seeking a Production SMT Engineer to join a successful manufacturing business based in Pickering, North Yorkshire.
The key points of this role are…
- Create programs for new SMT production runs
- Assist with the running of the Pick and Place machinery
- Creation of new component libraries, checking components against physical stock and parameters
- Documenting processes as they develop
- Implement and maintain 5S and lean manufacturing techniques
- Develop processes and source further equipment as required to constantly increase efficiency and create capacity
To be successful in this role you will have…
- Excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel
- Extensive previous experience within the SMT industry with experience of soldering through hole and SMD’s
- Previous exposure of Pick and Place machinery
- Good understanding of engineering diagrams
