We are working with an exceptionally well-respected firm in their sector who have engaged with us to help in supporting them with securing a Production Planning Manager to help drive their growth and continued development.

Working in a highly technical and challenging environment based in North Yorkshire this role is commutable from Scarborough, Malton, Whitby, Middlesbrough, York, there is on-site parking and the role offers a competitive salary (£43 - £48k pa) with great benefits.

In this new role you will be working across production and will look to create and implement a planning strategy, incorporating policies, processes and procedures working with MRP/ERP systems and driving and improving overall performance.

The role of Production Planning Manager will be responsible for the following key areas:

• Incorporating planned maintenance schedules and ensure efficiency and utilisation of available plant hours
• Stock control and capacity scheduling
• Fully integrate all actions within the ERP/MRP systems
• Optimise manufacturing efficiency and costs
• Monitor manufacturing processes and data to identify capacity constraints and trends

This role offers the successful candidate an opportunity to work within a demanding and forward-thinking engineering and manufacturing environment where there is a real family ethos.  As a planning manager you will have exposure across multiple business areas so excellent communication is key.  To be successful in the position you will need to display:

• Previous factory planning experience, ideally with some composite knowledge
• Degree (engineering or business) level preferred, although professional Six Sigma or lean qualifications or equivalent accepted.
• Confident individual with the ability to create and foster close working relationships
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to be able to present reports and presentations
• Have good working knowledge of MS Office based applications
• To be self-motivated with the ability to produce accurate work and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent analytical skills
