Mechanical Engineer (Design) (RL6453) Pickering, England
Castle Engineering and Manufacturing are seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Design) to join a successful manufacturing business based near Pickering, North Yorkshire.
The purpose of this role is to provide engineering design and support functions and to be responsible for all output as required under instruction from the senior mechanical engineer.
The key responsibilities of this role are…
- Produce design specifications and documentation to ISO 9001
- Provide technical support to the production, logistics and integration departments
- Offsite engineering support
- Provide design on projects
- Assist in the preparation of operating and maintenance manuals
- Structural analysis, scoping calculations, hand calculation and FEA
To be successful in this role, you will have…
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Mechanical or related/equivalent subject
- 4 years in a design environment previously
- Extensive experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Experience designing hydraulic and subsea systems
- Ability to work with respect to Lloyd’s rules, ASME, PVHO, BS PD5500
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
