Draughtsperson - CAD operator (VC1426) Scarborough, England
Castle Engineering and Manufacturing are recruiting for an excellent opportunity to work as Draughtsperson in a fast paced heavy steel manufacturing environment. Working as part of a team to produce manufacturing details from our client's schedules and drawings for a wide variety of products including; aluminium fabrications, rain water goods, architectural rainscreen facades and various other products using Solidworks and AutoCAD. The role will also involve the production of CNC data for both turret punch and router.
The candidate will need to be able to liaise with both internal and external teams to ensure compliance with the client's requirements and that the details produced are in-line with manufacturing capabilities and product definitions.
The design team is a fast paced environment where speed and accuracy are prerequisite requirements as is the need to be flexible in your approach to work.
Responsibilities
" The interpretation of client's requirements from the information provided.
" The production on time of accurate parts and drawings using the sheet metal function of Solidworks and AutoCAD to tight deadlines.
" Production of NC programmes for the companies router and turret punch
" Comply with internal quality systems.
Candidate
" Ideally the candidate should have experience of producing details of architectural facades and general aluminium fabrication.
" The candidate must have experience of using Solidworks and/or Autocad.
" The ability to produce NC data for a turret punch and router would be an advantage but training can be given.
" The candidate must be able to produce accurate details working to very tight deadlines with minimum supervision. Strong problem solving skills and a positive attitude are required.
