Salary: GBP40000 - GBP45000 per annum + pension, income protection, bonus

We are seeking a Controls Engineer to work in an integral role within our Client’s engineering team this role has come about due to continued investment, development and growth of the controls department. Commutable from York, Scarborough, Driffield, Bridlington, Malton, Pickering this role is based in North Yorkshire with on-site parking and various travel to work schemes available.

In the role of Controls Engineer you will be working shifts 4 on 4 off Days 6am - 6pm and will be required to deal with the following tasks:

  • Electrical support, maintenance & repair of the plant to include all machinery and equipment
  • Fault finding, installation and development of control systems
  • Programming of control and Plc (Siemens and Allen Bradley) systems across the site
  • Management and reporting of various projects 
  • Ensure all breakdown and fault reporting is clear and precise both written and on bespoke system
  • Carry out installation work, electrical and mechanical to include modifying existing equipment and installing new equipment
  • Adhere to all safety precautions and Company procedures

To be successful in the position you will need to display:

  • An ability to prioritise duties in order to accomplish maximum efficiency across the site
  • A relevant skill-based qualification i.e. Apprentice Trained & Time Served or an HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering
  • Must have Profinet experience or ability to program Plc systems Siemens and Allen Bradley
  • Previous experience working in a demanding Maintenance environment
  • A sound working Knowledge of Engineering /Manufacturing
  • Excellent Health & Safety Knowledge
