Castle Engineering & Manufacturing are recruiting for an exciting global business who are looking to expand their engineering team and are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical bias to work withing their fast paced manufacturing facility in North Yorkshire.

In the role of Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer and you will be required to work continental shifts and will be required to deal with the following tasks:

  • Electrical support, maintenance & repair of the plant to include all machinery and equipment
  • Electrical fault finding, installation and occasional development
  • Ensure compliance to preventative maintenance routines for all site equipment
  • Work collectively as part of the maintenance team
  • Conduct and complete planned maintenance schedules as part of your normal daily function
  • Ensure all breakdown and fault reporting is clear and precise- both written and on bespoke system
  • Carry out installation work, to include modifying existing equipment and installing new equipment
  • Adhere to all safety precautions and Company procedures

 

To be successful in the position you will need to display:

  • An HND/City and Guilds/NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualified in Engineering with 17th Edition (electrical) and at least 3 years’ experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Significant and demonstrated experience in complying with planned and preventative engineering strategies.
  • A diverse skill set encompassing electrical skills / knowledge and at least one other core discipline e.g. mechanical or controls / PLC.
  • Ability to Fault find and rectify skills on a range of equipment
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills with a can do attitude and the ability to work autonomously an absolute must.
  • An ability to use clear judgement and make methodical decisions in ambiguous and pressurised situations
