Castle Engineering & Manufacturing are looking for a Technical Manager for an established Manufacturing business based in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The Technical Manager will help support the business growth through strong management, product development, continuous improvement and effectively delivering improvement solutions. The Technical Manager will also provide technical support to the sales and estimating departments within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as the main technical adviser on site
• Provide technical support to existing production process to assist in development
• Checking plans, drawings to ensure clear information available for employees to manufacture
• Assisting sales to develop and expand the company's existing product range
• Work closely with estimating to develop new opportunities for the business. 
• Employing and training sales force to develop activities and achieve targets
• Planning the work and efficiently organising materials and facilities to meet agreed deadlines.
• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
• Learn and understand all the technical aspects of the company products
• Ensure quality control and health and safety standards are met

Experience/Skills required:

• Previous experience of working with GRP/Lamination products would be highly advantageous
• Be able to communicate effectively, both internally and externally
• Have the capacity to read and understand technical drawings
• Ability to lead, train and motivate a team from the shop floor upwards

The Benefits:

• The salary for the position is £28,000-£35,000, depending upon experience
