Castle Engineering & Manufacturing are working have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer. Our Client is a market leader in their sector in the design development and build of specialist machinery.

As Mechanical Design Engineer you will need to have extensive experience in mechanical design.

You will be responsible for working on design projects with respect to the manufacture and assembly of special purpose machinery and equipment and you will oversee the project from conception to completion and implementation.

To be successful in the role of Mechanical Design Engineer you will need to display:

• A passion for design and engineering excellence
• Ability to be a self starter with a design engineering background
• A good knowledge of design software and experience of dealing with designs from concept to build and installation

To be successful in the role of Mechanical Design Engineer you will ideally have:

• A Mechanical Engineering qualification
• A good knowledge of Solid Edge or similar 3D CAD package (advanced modelling and assembly techniques)
• Exposure to DFM, FMEA,
• Excellent communication skills with good all round IT and leadership skills.
