Week 1 Monday to Thursday (Monday to Wednesday 7.30 - 5.30 and Thursday 7.30 - 4.30)

Week 2 Tuesday to Friday (Tuesday to Thursday 7.30 - 5.30 and Friday 7.30 - 4.30)

Castle Engineering & Manufacturing are working for an exciting business who have an enviable reputation in their sector and due to an increase in demand are seeking Mechanical Technicians to join their team to work on some of their key projects.

As Mechanical Technician you will be required to deal with, sub-assemblies and assemblies, working on pipework and hydraulics.

The purpose of the role is to offer technical assistance within their manufacturing and build departments, as Mechanical Technician you will be responsible for:

  • Mechanical assembly of sub-sea products.
  • Testing of hydraulic hoses/pipe and components as assigned.
  • Interface with planning department, engineering and quality control to ensure completion of projects.
  • Complete all necessary documentation according to the requirements, (including timesheets, NCR’s ECN…etc.).
  • Carry out workshop maintenance as assigned.
  • Carry job tasks safely using good working practices.
  • Ensure risk assessments are carried out prior to start of work and during.
  • Ensure good housekeeping.

 

To be successful in the position of Mechanical Technician you will need to have:

  • Previous experience working in a medium to heavy engineering environment would be an advantage.
  • Good all-round experience with hydraulics assemblies, pipework, and general component assembly
  • Experience of high pressure testing would be an advantage
  • Ability to work to tight tolerances and have excellent attention to detail
  • Must be confident working with and reading engineering drawings

Due to the nature of the position and the environment you must be comfortable working to deadline and at times under pressure.
