Quality Engineer (RL6456) Pickering, England
Castle Engineering and Manufacturing are seeking a Quality Engineer to join a successful manufacturing business based near Pickering, North Yorkshire.
The purpose of this role is to provide day to day support to Q & PI Manager and ensure that Company QNS and quality expectations are complied with and supported. To also provide quality assurance support throughout the business.
The key responsibilities of this role are…
- Support the quality and PI on a day to day basis
- Lead the quality control department as directed by the manager to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system
- Provide internal and external audit
- Maintain NCR system and ensure that all NCRs are tracked and closed-out efficiently
- Preparation of quality documentation such as quality plans, ITPs, QP and associated quality documentation in support of projects
- Maintain calibration process and database
To be successful in this role, you will have…
- College qualification or degree in a technical, engineering of manufacturing field, QA related desirable
- ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 experience and understanding
- Experience in lean manufacturing, TQM and continuous improvement tools such as PDCA, DMAIC and Six Sigma
- Working awareness of OHSAS 18001
- Lead Auditor trained
- The ability to problem solve and root cause analysis
- Experience in continuous improvement activities such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods etc
