My Client seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias) to join their growing team on a permanent basis at their site near Malton.

In the role of Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be working as part of the engineering team and will be required to deal with routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of heavy and light industrial machinery.

The role of the Maintenance Engineer is to support the business in enabling continuous production activities, by ensuring that the factory plant and equipment is maintained and repaired to an adequate and safe standard. 

This is a varied role and as such your tasks will consist of:

  • Dealing with breakdowns and in a timely and efficient manner
  • Working in line with all relevant standards, processes and site quality systems as required
  • Carrying out servicing and repairs on a range of equipment
  • Working in line with PPM as well as deal with reactive faults as and when required
  • Applying good standards of electrical practice at all times
  • Providing guidance and training to fellow technicians, and offering input on improvements
  • Carrying out installation work, to include modifying existing equipment and installing new equipment

The role of Multi-Skilled Engineer will require you to liaise across a number of functions and deal with internal and external customers.  You will be required to work shifts and will be required to deal with and manage a variety of tasks at any one time.

To be successful in this position you will need the following:

  • Relevant Electrical qualification
  • A knowledge of Plc's is highly beneficial although not essential
  • Knowledge of working in a manufacturing facility
  • An ability to read and work from technical drawings
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
