Castle Engineering and Manufacturing are seeking a Production Manager to join a trading company based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
The Production Manager is there to provide effective leadership and management of people and work processes using a quality assured led approach to support the manufacturing activity.
The key duties of the role are as follows…
- Take the lead responsibility for achieving the designated production schedule
- Maximise performance and efficiency's within the team
- Trouble shoot and problem solve immediate or unexpected issues within agreed capabilities
- Work closely with other Bay Production Managers to ensure production as a whole runs smoothly and efficiently
- Lead, coach and motivate the workforce to achieve individual, team and company objectives and future development
- Ensure that risk assessments within your area of responsibility are undertaken and reviewed
- Ensure that the company operating procedures are in place, understood and complied within the team
- Assist with the monitoring and implementation of preventative action in support of continuous improvement measures
The ideal candidate will have…
- A Level or NVQ Level 3 or substantial relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years management experience
- Proven people management and leadership skills
- Knowledge of quality management systems and health and safety
- Experience in production scheduling and planning
- A conscientious, self-motivated and ‘can do’ attitude
