CAD Operative – Steel Construction

 Castle Engineering are working with a fantastic business working in bespoke area of the construction sector who are looking to bring a CAD Operator into their team to assist with the design of their products and liaise with production in ensuring the successful transition from concept to production.

As an AutoCAD Technician / CAD Technician you will specialize in the design, manufacture and installation of aluminium windows, doors and light structures. The role will involve interpreting drawings and using AutoCAD to produce drawings.

You will ideally have experience within the construction sector with steel/cladding or architectural aluminium design experience. The role represents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious AutoCAD Operator to work in a vibrant business.

Responsibilities will include:

• Interpreting architects, steel and cladding drawings in order to produce drawings using AutoCAD.
• Liaising directly with customers, architects to obtain the required information.
• Working to tight deadlines

To be successful in this role:

• You must be fully conversant with using AutoCAD.
• Previous experience designing aluminium windows, curtain walling, steel or cladding
• Excellent IT skills/Self motivated
• Full driving licence preferred
