QUALITY ENGINEER

Castle Engineering and Manufacturing are seeking a Quality Engineer to join a well-established business based in Malton, North Yorkshire.
The main purpose of the role is to provide quality support ensuring quality standards are met across new products, manufacturing processes, customer service and warranty. You will be working in line with all assurances and drive quality processes and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
The key points of this role are…
- To introduce and drive a quality development plan which increases overall quality of both products and service with the aim of reducing warranty claims to a low level.
- To ensure this plan is communicated and that key performance indicators are put in place to achieve a step change in quality standards.
- To ensure that the quality systems are in place which allow us to achieve required standards and focuses on Prevention not Detection.
- To monitor the effectiveness of such standards and implement changes as necessary.
- To develop a continuous improvement culture which addresses the root cause analysis of customer complaints.

To be successful in this role you will have…
- Quality Management accreditation
- Previous manufacturing experience in a similar role
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes
- Experience in process improvement techniques
