Licensing Specialist

Licensing Specialist (JO013783) Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

  • Support Customer Licensing for activities associated with FANR Inspections and Audits including performing or coordinating Customer self-assessments in areas of Inspection or Audit.  These activities may include preparations for and communications with internal and external resources, developing inspection support plans and checklists, daily coordination for resolution of potential inspection findings, providing management briefings on results of on-going inspections, supporting the inspection exit meeting and responding to inspections findings including reporting and correspondence to close-out FANR inspection reports.
  • Perform follow-up Licensing activities such as:

Maintaining status of and expediting closure of commitments and license conditions,

Provide SME technical support to reviews and actions requiring specific expertise.

  • Perform activities generally supporting Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, as requested by Customer.  These activities may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Review and comment of FANR draft regulations and regulatory guidance documents developing comments, coordinating resolution of other Customer team-mates comments, coordinating input from KEPCO and consolidating comments resulting in recommendations on final consolidated comments to be transmitted to FANR.
  • Development and update of procedures and desktop guidelines that support functions of the Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Department.
  • Support Customer in the interface activities associated with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).  These activities will be specifically assigned by Customer as the international treaties and agreements applicable to the UAE are evolving.  Customer and FANR are responsible to ensure compliance with international agreements and to respond and report to IAEA in accordance with those agreements.
  • Provide reports to Customer management meeting expectations for regular reports such as required by Chief Program Officer, Chief Nuclear Officer, Scheduling, and supporting Program Management of the prime contractor, KEPCO.
  • Provide SME consulting services for general activities associated with licensing and regulatory affairs.Assist Customer in support of the commitments and license conditions associated with existing and future licenses including but not limited to:

Site Selection License
Site Preparation License
Other licenses as may be required by FANR
