Export Control Senior Specialist

Export Control Senior Specialist (56445677) Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Export Control Daily Operations

  • Supervise the Nuclear Material, Imports, controlled documents, export and e-export of equipment for maintenance
  • Enhance responsibility for export control tasks
  • Work closely with Safeguards Manager on how regulating imports/re-export of equipment, materials and technologies should be handled
  • Lead development and implementation of the company export control policies and practices
  • Supervise Nuclear Material (NM) accountancy and control at the NPP site
  • Oversee the physical inventory at the nuclear facility
  • Review Export Control reports before submission to FANR
  • Attend industry meeting / conferences to remain updated with latest standards and best practice
  • Manage condition reports and corrective actions to ensure effective implementation

Budget

  • Prepare/recommend the development of the section/department budget respectively, and monitor financial performance versus the budget to ensure alignment

People Management

  • Manage the effective achievement of organisation’s objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal, in order to maximize subordinate and department performance
  • Contribute to the development of UAE national employees in a manner which supports the objectives of the corporation and its Emiratization strategy
  • Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building internal capabilities of UAE national where applicable and maximize their effective performance

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate communication both internally and externally in order to build and nurture mutually beneficial working relationships

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)

  • Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, by delivery of the HSE Management Program to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality service and a responsible environmental attitude

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree 
  • Experience 5 to 6 years relevant experience Prior experience in Export Control in customs or cargo

Technical Skills

  • English fluency
  • Competent in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to develop new progrmas including writing policies and procedures
  • Arabic fluency
