Having grown significantly this specialist manufacturer of mechanical sub assemblies for a wide range of end users across fields as diverse as medical equipment, transport, aerospace and many others has an opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer adept at producing 3D models (The company uses Solidworks however experience using any 3D Cad system would be ok).
Working within the development team you will be tasked with the design test and launch of complex mechanical sub-assemblies (primarily pneumatic/ hydraulics based)working across disciplines to supprot colleagues to ensure a successful launch.
Your role will support R&D, quality and manufacturing teams. You will be responsible for producing engineering drawings,parts lists, controlling engineering changes, developing test and manufacturing procedures and working towards cost down objectives for the final product.
Our ideal candidate will be a graduate mechanical engineer or time served equivalent preferably with a knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatic (not essential). The team are friendly, professional and we are looking for a flexible, proactive and enthusiastic team player to fit into the group.
