Annuity New Business Coordinator Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking an Annuity New Business Coordinator for an opportunity in the Des Moines, IA area. The Annuity New Business Coordinator will function as a support role for the new business case management team. He or she will prepare transfer paperwork, and letters of acceptance, as well as complete follow up calls to financial institutions, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • primary owner for preparing transfer paperwork and letters of acceptance to send to other carriers
  • Complete follow up calls to other carriers
  • Serve as a liaison between case management team, receptionist, and other departments as needed
  • Develop relationships with key administrative and office support staff to facilitate proper business flow between various business units
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the annuity industry including product knowledge, industry trends, compliance issues, etc.
  • Understand key Operational process flows, controls and compliance criteria
  • Suggest opportunities for improvement to Supervisor
  • Achieve required phone and transaction performance as defined for the Annuity New Business Coordinator
  • Conduct all business transactions in a manner that upholds the high ethical standards
  • Adhere to company policies and legal requirements regarding sales and product compliance

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience working in a service center, sales support team and/or other previous industry experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated strong customer relationship management and servicing skills as well as internal corporate relationship management capabilities
  • Successful completion of Life insurance related education such as LOMA or CLU coursework preferred
  • Strong problem solving, results oriented
  • Superior communication skills - oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are critical
  • Proficient with MS Office, Word, Excel and Power Point required
  • Technologically proficient and knowledgeable
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes, procedures, and software tools
  • Ability to read and interpret policy language
  • Must be able to work in a fast pace team environment, handle multi-tasks and projects as well as support inbound and outbound calls from producers and their upline
