Position: Sales Engineer (Electrical Components)
Location: Calgary
Salary: 95k Base + Commission

MUST HAVE: Experience selling Electrical Components into Manufacturing,Engineering and Industrial sector to qualify for this position.

The Sales Engineer position will be fully responsible for driving specification and demand for Our products in the marketplace. The incumbent will meet with engineering firms, architectural firms, consultants, end users, and others to deliver technical presentations, write specifications, and build and grow key customer relationships within a given territory. The incumbent is also responsible for occasional product training for internal and external audiences. This position requires complex engineering knowledge and strong communication skills to be able to make technical recommendations on product solutions. A highly entrepreneurial sense of urgency along with a passion for the industry is desirable, along with a drive to grow both personally and professionally.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive Our national product demand through specification with end-users, Architectural and Engineering (A & E) Firms, and Design/Build contractors (D/B) contractors.
Ensure pull through in the sales channel by working with regional sales management and partnering with key distribution personnel.
Work cross-functionally across the enterprise to identify key influencers, define gaps in products or services, and develop and implement the necessary tools to capitalize on opportunities.
Develop, update and execute a regional penetration plan
Effectively develop and deliver product sales & services seminars
Work closely with regional sales managers and manufacturing representatives to ensure that high levels of quality and service are delivered in the territory .
Stay abreast of new technology, market developments, appropriate standard societies, and competitor offerings. Report trends and developments to appropriate sales, marketing, and management personnel.
Support new product releases and new/adjacent account development.
Perform other duties as required.

Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university in Electrical, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering or similar field
3-5 Years working in a specification based industry and engineering experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to learn, grow, and deal with ambiguity and change,
A strong bias towards action
Ability to travel 50%
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
