Position: Commercial Account Manager (Insurance)
Location: Toronto

JOB SUMMARY:
Part of a high performing team, the incumbent will provide exemplary customer service to an existing and growing book of both Transportation and non-Transportation client business.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

GENERAL CLIENT SERVICE:
Working with select Account Executive (“AE”), act as primary contact with Commercial clients for service issues and concerns during the life of the policy.
Process all billings and payments and maintain accounts receivable within Hallmark standards.
Liaise with operational staff of commercial clients for day-to-day administration of the insurance program.
Alert the AE and team to issues requiring action or communication with the client.
When required, using the online Certificate Generation system, prepare and/or review and approve and then deliver Certificates of Insurance to relevant Certificate Holders.

NEW BUSINESS:
Issue Binder, certificates for named insureds and cover letter.
Review new policy received for accuracy, amend billing, and prepare cover letter for delivery.

RENEWALS:
At prescribed schedule prior to renewal, complete loss ratios, prepare coverage checklist and update schedule of insurance in preparation for a Team meeting (AM, AE and CMM) at which accounts are reviewed for possible re-marketing and to determine documents required for the pre-renewal visit.
If re-marketing, prepare client overview, and update incumbent insurer’s application incorporating new information from meetings.
Prepare underwriting submission for presentation to alternative and incumbent markets.
Use Marketing Manager for complex issues and marketing challenges.
Once Account Executive has secured binding instructions and order has been placed, review policy received to ensure it conforms to binder and for continuity in wordings.
Review coverage forms, exclusions, conditions, and adequacy of limits.
Review and prepare cover letter for delivery.
Complete certificates and financing contracts within prescribed time frames.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
R.I.B.O. license required.
Minimum of 3 years P&C experience.
Excellent computer skills required, preferably with SigXp.
