Position: QA Manager (Manual Tester)
Location: Richmond Hill

You’ve been in a similar role for with a start-up or other high-growth company experience. The ideal candidate is team oriented, innovative and has a high ability to problem solve.

•Hands-on manager, motivating and improving your teams knowledge
•Create the processes that QA staff need to follow to ensure that we keep shipping a solid product
•Responsible for hiring QA staff. Access to a network of testers
•Part of the “go/no go” process to make sure we don’t release major defects to our customers
•Working with Management, Product Managers and Business System Analysts to gather requirements and specifications for new features and feature improvements.
•Report on product quality, bug rates, hot spots, etc. to management team
•Track and report on product (website) performance
•Authoring test plans & test cases for core Product and eStore front-ends
•Executing tests for front-end design, functionality and back-end configurations for new Merchants on the company’s eCommerce Platform
•Building automated test scripts
•Contribute to the product backlog by acting as a voice of reason around usability, stability and performance.
•Part of the support process to help diagnose issues and test hotfixes before they are released
•Experience leading a small QA team
•Must be able to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
oBeing a part of the Scrum team, instead of “on the other side of the fence”.
oInvolved from day 1 in planning the release, instead of brought in at the end.

oWorking off of a Sprint backlog instead of detailed requirements.

•Experience testing high-scale, multi-tenant SaaS applications or large websites
•Experience with basic web debugging tools like Firebug, IE Developer Tools, Chrome Developer Tools, etc.
•Experience with automated web UI testing (Selenium, Cucumber, etc.)
•An understanding of how to create and manage performance testing practices
•Ability to prioritize a testing matrix. Knowing where to focus to get the best return of testers time

Additional Assets
•Experience with Team Foundation Server
•Experience with other eCommerce Products, OMS, CRM, etc.
•Knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL
•Knowledge of C# and .NET
•Knowledge of PowerShell
•Experience with performance profiling tools (New Relic, ANTS, Microsoft, Dynatrace, AVI Code, etc.)
