Position: Business Development Specialist
Transmission Systems
Location: Calgary

Responsibilities
Maintains customer contact providing comprehensive technical system application assistance in regards of FACTS and High voltage System for Western Canada market
Support Canadian Sales with comprehensive technical assistance and Customer presentations
Provides management marketing information on volume market share and price levels
Technical customer presentation on High voltages substation and Flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS)
Explain new application solutions with comparisons in between LCC and VSC technology
Power Engineer to support customers in the pre-design, acquisition, development, and bid support phase of power systems applications products
Provides management with information and reports for improving volume market share and price levels
Perform customer visit report to support marketing and sales activities
Evaluations and recommendations for alternatives or changes in customer specifications to optimized system specifications
System Engineer to support customers in the pre-design and development phase related to High voltage System protective relay systems and applications that incorporate in HV solution
Develop innovative marketing approach to support Transmission system business in Canada
Technical support and assistance to sales and Bid management team

Qualifications:
Electrical Engineering degree
Minimum 5 year experience in FACTS and HV applications
Experience in a sales and/or customer service role with local market knowledge is a strong advantage
Demonstrated knowledge on FACTS and High Voltage Transmission system
Understanding of Transmission systems, Protection Schemes, and Logic Diagrams based on Technical Drawings
Demonstrated ability to understand and handle general Transmission system problems
Experience completing recommendations for alternatives or changes to customer specifications and/or processes to better match
Result and strategic oriented with developed negotiation skills
Customer oriented with strong communication and team spirit

Ideal candidate: Will hold at least a BSEE degree, and have 5 years of experience. Will be experienced at developing the technical solutions technical sales and marketing, familiar with budgets to some degree, can respond to RFP's, perform Risk assessment of projects. All projects are typically High Voltage, Grid and transmission based projects involving sub stations (AIS/GIS). Will be familiar with FACTS ( flexible AC Transmission systems). Really seeking candidate that have experience in the Western Region of Canada.
