Head of Software Development – Derby
Software Development Director required for a cutting edge organisation based in Derby. You are coming on board to be accountable for the successful build of software solutions ready for handover to external clients and internal teams. This includes directly managing the business analysis, development and testing resources.
This role would ideally suit an individual who has experience of driving successful rapid change, enabling technical teams to deliver business value in complex B2B Business Solutions environment.
Key Responsibilities;
- Transition to an environment where the organisation has zero product failures or issues
- Drive the increase in robustness and quality of the organisation products.
- Lead and manage the resources needed for the creation of new solutions and the extension of existing ones.
- Define resourcing requirements and develop resource capabilities to meet current and future company demands.
- Producing plans to achieve the desired business outcomes and continuously manage throughout.
Key Skills Required;
- Experience of driving successful rapid change enabling technical teams to deliver business value in complex B2B Business Solutions environments
- Brilliant people manager, experience of driving organisational and cultural change as the team size grows
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication across all levels
- To effectively manage efficient Agile and Waterfall software development processes that maximises business delivery capability
- To be accountable for the governance around the full Software Development Life Cycle
- To be accountable for effectively managing Quality framework’s that will enable the business to deliver technical solutions in a cost effective manner
- Technically aware – This individual must have come from a Software Development background
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
