Our client, a nonprofit in Silver Spring, MD that is dedicated towards enhancing community colleges who work with students of low income, is looking to add SEVERAL staff members in the next few weeks due to successful growth! One role is for a college graduate with 1-3 years of experience in a nonprofit who would like to work with new member institutions and lead them through the admissions process of this nonprofit’s prestigious program. You will do a lot of process-oriented work: reviewing applications & submissions, answering questions through phone and email, communicating with higher education institutions, working with the fundraising department on grants, working with the communications department on acceptance announcements, etc. You need to be highly detailed and have transferrable skills. Additionally, this client is looking for someone to work with their most celebrated member colleges on grants and strategy. We need someone who has worked with a RE-GRANTING program or grants & fellowships attached to higher academia. If you’ve worked with or in a college to support developmental or remedial education – this could be for you! You’ll get to know each member, work with them on improving their performance in the program, and ultimately be a part of deciding who gets funded!
