JOB CONTEXT & MAJOR CHALLENGE(S)


• Works effectively within established policies and procedures and participates in the further development of these to meet changing needs.
• Act as a key interface between Operations and project team
• Understand organizational authority and seek appropriate line management approvals.
• Works in a highly visible project environment with large capital expenditures and significant schedule execution pressures.
• Demonstrates willingness to tackle a variety of tasks in response to evolving business needs.
Key Job Accountabilities
• Provides functional support to the QG Offshore Head of Brownfield in order to ensure project HSE systems are fully implemented and HSE objectives are achieved
• Champion on-site safety awareness and safe performance with Contractor and among the Project Team
• Coach and mentor COMPANY and Contractor PMTs to achieve HSE&S objectives
• Monitor Contractor’s activities for compliance with Contractor approved Project HSE procedures
• Ability to manage the HSE requirements within a high-risk operations environment with multiple SIMOP’s
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Contractor and Sub-contractor HSE personnel
• Liaise daily with Contractor HSE personnel to ensure the effective implementation of all Project HSE requirements
• Monitor Contractor’s daily activities and performance and provide scheduled reports on Contractor performance to the QG Head of HSE
• Monitors Contractors delivery of specific HSE related trainings as per the Project Competency Matrix and ensures accurate records are maintained
• Participate and observe of Emergency drills organized by Contractor
• Ensure timely review of HSE related construction documentation such as risk assessments, JSA, method statements and lift plans etc.
• Ensure with Contractor HSE team the correct implementation of the 10 Life Saving Rules Program (or equivalent) at Contractor work site and intervene, record and report to line manager, when violations are observed
• Perform daily inspections using “safety tools” (e.g. JSA’s Method statements, PTW, compliance check lists, Comply/ Intervene/Care check lists),
• Monitor the Actions Tracking Register and advise line manager on actions closure progress against target
• Perform daily PTW review to ensure all PTW’s and supporting documentation requirements are fully and properly implemented.
• Participate in incident investigation and provide information to relevant line management
• Manages the implementation of PMT solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner that compliments safety, cost and schedule.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/Science and/or Professional Occupational Safety Qualification, minimum 10 years’ experience in Safety Leadership and 15 years within Oil & Gas industry

Knowledge and/or Experience
• Extensive experience in Offshore Brownfield execution projects
• Previous JUB experience
• 15 + years of Brownfield project experience
• Experience in offshore construction, installation activities.
• Persuasive man-management attributes are essential across all levels of the organization with an ability to establish and maintain open and responsive relationships.
• Excellent level in written and spoken English
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and persuasive
• Strong communication skills; capability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels within the project.
