Assistant/Junior Quantity Surveyor

Permanent

Salary £25k - £33k DOE

My client are a specialist within the food and beverage sector. They provide a full turnkey solution including fit outs, refurbishments and maintenance works. Fast track fit out/refurbishment works. Project values ranging from £20/£30k up to £1.5m.

My client works blue chip clients, such as: JD Weatherspoons, Mitchell & Butler, Marstons and Admiral Taverns.

As a Quantity Surveyor you will be office based 2/3 days a week, with the rest visiting site. Daily responsibilities/duties include:

 Organisation of Project Files / Content within those files

Measuring Drawings

Submission of AFP

Chasing Late Payments

Communicating with Clients to resolve disputes.

Maintaining required Cash Flow Levels

Placing Sub Contract Orders

Value Engineering Options with Subcontractors

Checking Progress across sites.

Ensuring Final Accounts are achieved and paid.

The candidate must have relevant experience and have worked within the construction industry. The candidate must have the following:

 Good Work Ethic

Excellent Attention to Detail

Excellent Skill level MS Office Packages

Excellent Organisation Skills

Ability to Communicate and work with clients to reach agreements.

Ability to prioritise / ensuring that specific tasks are conducted.

Ability to trace and track emails for each project.
