What do we do?

  • Assess: Drive and support regular and ad-hoc risk assessment of Barclaycard Technology Risk & Control profile
  • Evaluate: Apply consistent risk measurement articulating impact in business terms
  • Report: Timely, targeted circulation of data and analysis covering current and emerging issues/ trends. Regular review, benchmarking against risk appetite, challenge and escalation with Barclaycard & Group stakeholders
  • Remediate: Ensure remediation addresses the risk, sustainably, pragmatically and timely
  • Assure: Friendly check and challenge of risk position, decisions and delivery

Main duties and responsibilities

Providing expert guidance on how to best land and embed change

  • Engage and manage engagement to support programmes / projects with organisational change subject matter expertise
  • Understand Change impacts on target populations
  • Use Change Methodologies to establish how best to deliver the Change(s)
  • Be an active member of working groups owning the Change Delivery Strategy and approach
  • Mobilise required support to ensure Change Delivery achieves the desired strategy and approach
  • Utilise KPIs and Indicators that display level of Change Readiness and, once delivered, Change Embeddedness
  • Track and monitor Change Effectiveness

Own and deliver bespoke change-related projects

  • Identify, shape and agree organisational change strategy, targets and measures
  • Be accountable for team budget, performance and development, create business case to support incremental opportunities
  • Build relationships across O&T to understand where there may be opportunities for further reinforcement of changes and opportunities improve access to, usage of, or understanding of information and/or materials critical for teams to succeed

Raising O&T Change Capability expertise (c.10%)

  • Create collateral that can be used to help train and upskill colleagues on Change Capability skills, methods and approaches
  • Champion organisational change awareness - work with colleagues across O&T to help increase Change Capability expertise and skills
  • Offer support and insights, as a Subject Matter Expert, to initiatives requiring Change Capability inputs

  • Change Capability – An experienced Change Capability manager
  • Stakeholder Management - Ability to develop excellent working relationships across multiple business areas
  • Root cause analysis – Ability to analyse and investigate to understand and interpret actions required
  • Creativity – Ability to design and deliver innovative and engaging interventions
  • Leadership – Ability to lead initiatives from idea to delivery
  • Influencing – Ability to generate consensus and support across multiple business areas to required initiatives and interventions
  • Communication – Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and members of their teams
  • Data analysis – Ability to analyse, interpret and take action from multiple data sources
  • Leading by example – Day to day displaying the right behaviours, attitude and enthusiasm
  • Proven ability to develop effective action plans that balance short-term requirements with long-term perspectives and business plans and expectations
  • Able to overcome organisational barriers and bureaucratic practices and avoid silo based approaches
  • People management – an experienced people manager

Experience, qualifications and other requirements specific to the role

  • Change Capability qualified and/or experience
  • Previous experience of managing Middle and Senior Management relationships.
  • Knowledge of Payment/Card Services industry
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) and/or High Performance track record throughout career.
  • Relevant professional certifications
  • Managed/ participated in multi-region organisational change programmes
