Our client is looking for a “Construction Leader – Mechanical ” to work under the following:

Project: HTY Line 4 Project (the expansion of HTY Plant)
Working hours : 6 days a week – 9 hours (8 am – 18.00 PM)
Duration : 1-year Renewable
Accommodation: Living allowance provided
Mob/ Demob : Not provided
Overtime : Not provided
PPE, Laptop, Medical Insurance: provided
Mission:
- To acquire a good knowledge of the Feed and the detailed design developed for Mechanical domain.
- To be familiar with specification, specific regulations, performance for Mechanical domain.
- To be well aware of schedule and main milestones.
- From Employer side, to be the main technical contact to any contractor working for Mechanical domain.
- To witness procurement activities of Mechanical domain, identify and highlight any potential deviations of cost and lead time.
- To look over the outside fabrication of mechanical equipment, then, at site,to supervise the construction and equipment installation, in compliance with technical specifications,performance defined during design and within the timeline constraints.
- To manage activities of Employer supervisors for Mechanical Domain.
- To coordinate and monitor mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, test and acceptance.
- To support for commissioning activities.
Key Expected Achievements
- Is globally responsible for the construction and implementation of mechanical equipment and networks:
- All the tasks for the construction are defined, organized and assigned.
- Safety risk analysis is formalized. Preventive measures and risk management are defined.
- To lead periodic review with CTR and project team, covering safety applications rules, construction rules of art, compliance with design, respect for planning
- Participation to FAT when requested and prepare Punch list for FAT.
- Regular inspections all a long of the construction, including visits to the fabrication workshop.
- Create EMP punch list to follow construction and share with Project team.
- Give all modifications / update to the planner to keep the discipline on track, and alert on the potential impact on other disciplines.
- To monitor interface and coordination with other disciplines.
- To manage potential modifications in case of interference or design mistake.
- Demonstrate functionality and performances in compliance with safety and specifications.
- Verify the as-built folder all modifications are updated, IOM and drawings are As-built
- punch list closed
- Test reports
Performance Measurement
- Compliance with schedule.
- Preventive observations of safety or audits.
- Report deviations, mitigation plan, non-conformity, punch list
- FAT visit reports + punch list
- Inspection reports. Tracking of non-conformity. Quality indicators
- Mechanical Punch list management.
- Update the discipline and give input to the planner.
- Clarify and update the critical path for the discipline
- Coordination schedule.
- Modify approval, as built drawing.
- R1 acceptance, certificate of work completion, RF.
Main activities
- If relevant, make comment or warning from investigation on the Feed and detailed design for mechanical domain.
- In compliance with the schedule, to track the progress on procurement for specific equipment.
- In case of, to attend to the FAT. Prior to FAT, the test protocol is reviewed and agreed.
- Consider all the constraints on site (Security, environmental conditions, specific tools, impacts on the local activities ).
- To support planner for defining and updating the schedule for mechanical tasks.
- Identify the risks related to co-activity and perform safety risk analysis. Provide input to scheduler.
- Define rules and preventive measures to be applied to the construction site (collective & individual protection, qualified people and authorizations, LOTO, hot work permits, ).
- Regularly, to check the quality of the construction and the compliance with drawings and technical requirement.
- To define or organize activity of the electrical supervisors.
- To attend to the requested inspections. To record and track the non-conformity.
- Provide technical and operational contribution.
- Ensure the progress of the project in terms of compliance of work, timeliness and cost. To issue a progress report.
- To manage pre-commissioning works for the mechanical domain.
- With the other disciplines, to prepare tests and commissioning protocol.
- To support on commissioning activities and demonstrate functionalities and performance.
- To track the punch list.
Educational Background
- Master’s degree (5-year engineering degree) – with 4 years’ experience
- Bachelor Technical Degree (2 or 3-year technical degree) – with 10 years’ experience.
